The RX 9070 XT is an outstanding graphics card because it doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket but also delivers exceptional performance, whether that is in gaming, content creation, AI tasks, etc. This variant features 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM, the same across all variants, and a boost clock speed of 2,970 MHz.
We haven’t tested and reviewed this variant, but we have put the ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT OC through its paces. So, we’ll showcase its real-world performance benchmarks to give you an idea of what this GPU is capable of.

This graphics card managed 193 FPS at 1080p, 129 FPS at 1440p, and 61 FPS at 4K in Cyberpunk 2077. This is very impressive because the RTX 5070 could only deliver 48 FPS at 4K, and this is one of the most graphically demanding titles on the market. Besides that, even with ray tracing overdrive enabled, FSR 4 helped it churn out 67 FPS, which is very impressive.
It outperformed the RTX 5070 in almost every synthetic test and was the only GPU to come close to the RTX 5090 in the Geekbench AI quantized test. It managed 30,662 points while the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 BTF OC delivered 35,597 points. While this is still quite a bit of a difference, no other GPU could manage this, and that goes to show how far along AMD GPUs have come.
Is this a good deal?
The RX 9070 XT is one of the best-performing graphics cards on the market because its performance and value for money it brings to the table are outstanding. With this GPU, you won’t need to spend more than $1,000 on a GPU for 4K gaming, and that is simply incredible.
